Existence of Fate: Prologue by ~Darkja-mac04:iconDarkja-mac04:

Existence of Fate: Prologue

War is the basis for many things that may or may not happen or what may or may not have been.  War could possibly be what changes us for better or for worse.  We either thereafter distance ourselves from this twisted, broken reality, or we try and change it.  In a world were people are affected by man’s crimes, the ability to change this sinful world into a manipulated altercation of so called peace whilst sitting upon the throne of God, is all too real.  The power to change the world and play as God for as long as possible, this is what HE needed to accomplish his own selfish ambition.  Kumon  (agony) is  perhaps the worst example of what has become of unending bloodshed.  In a single day, Kumon’s mind was transmogrified from a silent, taintless ocean, to a merciless typhoon formed from the embrace of an unforgiving wind.  As a boy, with uncalculated knowledge, Kumon was used for the very thing he despised greatly, even before his life-changing experience, and that was war.  His love for plant-life and a desperate hope for peace were what kept him going even though his natural god-given talent of intelligence was used for nothing more than advancements in weaponry and a development of more accurate forms of tactical warfare.  As long as Kumon wasn’t there to witness the madness himself, he wouldn’t fully understand, or rather, he didn’t want to understand.  Of course, as fate would have it however, the events that occurred not too long after his involvement,  gave him no choice but to succumb to the spell of madness.  As one event led to another (read about Nera and Alisha), Kumon found himself standing in the barren wasteland that bloody morning.  There he stood…in the center of the wasteland, as the wind blew the dry dirt from the ground.  It finally revealed what Kumon feared the most.  In every direction, from left to right, beyond and before, an ocean of bodies surround him.  The sea of death consumed him with fangs unbareable.  The foul stench awakend the inner demon, the anger that begun to spiral without command. Never did he imagine, death would look, feel, taste so disorienting and grotesque.  Never, did he imagine a sight beyond that of the darkest nightmare, one that no mere mortal could withstand.  Death was taunting him.  Playing with his mind, and death had won.  Kumon lost all humanity and recreated the meaning of death.  His soul was dry and restless as it occupied its own selfish santuary in the pits of hell, deeming only to hunger for more.  "Life...Such a foolish word...always spoken but never defined...Bring me this "Life" of which all humans speak, and show me...show me what it is... what it looks, feels, and tastes like...so that I might compare it with death."

Kumon’s Ambition:

His laughter of insanity filled the dry air and blue sky as he stood encircled by death. "Death... what is death?  Perhaps...it is nothing more than a state of mind...perhaps...it is just an illusion....Their bodies...have merely expired...nothing more."  The relation of plant life and human life is uncanny.  Plants, growing and prospering, depend of mother nature to reach their full potential and spread their worth to the world and beyond.  In death, their seeds carry on even if the flower has expired.  Humans...so sinful and selfish...Depend on one another, stepping on one another to prosper and reach their full potential.  Their bodies expire, but their soul lives on.  He decided that perhaps these similarities in plant-life and animal-life could help him do the impossible.  "Re-germinate the deceased...My loved ones souls... shall live on in another's body..."  Life is only possible with a mother.  The mother will give birth to what could be the next tragedy, or the next miracle.  Thus, the Dark Perrineal was born.  "Mother Nature's replacement" is what Kumon percieved it as.  Combined with the destructive weapons that humans used to kill one another, and the breath of life in the very world itself, created the ultimate organic machine, with the ability to create life all its own. "For Life to come forth, Death must take the first step..."  The Dark Perennial, fueled by the very irony of Kumon's insanity...death.  Living and fueled by the bodies of the deceased on that dark day. Working one in the same, death brings life.  Kumon was in the beginning stages of his ambition.  The Dark Perrineal birthed organic machines known as PURIFIERS.  Composed of a plant like structure, animal-like instincts and organs, but with computer intelligence, birthing micro weapons of its very own...seeds. These seeds, feed from neither water nor sun, but human souls.  Absorbing the soul like a vacuum, it relieves it from the host body, making it nothing more than a lifeless puppet.  The soulless bodies are afterwards altered and perfected.  The Dark Perennial is a tool that goes beyond the laws of reality.  Just as a plant births its own seeds, the Dark Perinneal births its own souls.  These make-shift souls are placed in the "Perfect" bodies, contained with the memories of the dearly departed he has lost.  Most would assume he wants to recreate the entire world anew,  despising of everything, wanting to destroy it all,  but  the answer is no.  Kumon cares for the world dearly, but he believes that because it is tainted with the unlimited sin of hateful people,  it could never reach its true beauty. However, he refused to just watch it whither and die before his very eyes.  He had seen enough death for a time.  With the Dark Perennial, Kumon was able to revitalize the world once again.  He managed to breath life into it, even after the terrible result of the war that killed millions in a day.  Known as the “Savior” to the survivors  of the war, Kumon gained the trust of many.  They believed that he had the power to heal, that the God's had seen his purity and decended him to the faulted existence that was Etherland (Earth), in one last attempt to show the world that the error in their ways would surely bring unavoidable destruction.  Through brainwash and false hope, Kumon founded a religion that would touch millions.  A religion that encouraged humans to embrace their sins and except what they have done as unforgivalbe in the eyes of the Gods.  This sin  resulted in disease, crime, and
ultimately…death.  However, “With my new found power, I can make you reborn! A second chance at life! Sin-free!  Disease-free!  A life without death!  Follow the true path to righteousness and become anew at the God's will!”  His followers were that of many criminals, the eternally ill, priests that had abandoned their own beliefs, and pacifists (Read about Amille Kamakura).  To the Collectors (Balancers of the Life-Death cycle, read about “Creators and Collectors”) this distracted the circle of life and death.  People's lives were lost long before their time.  More deaths were accounted for over births, and souls were left unaccounted for.  Even if one were to lose their life before their time, the cylce will take a great deal of damage.  When many happen simultaneously, then the existence of humans is sure to spiral to zero within a matter of less than a decade.  Aze Susanoo  (Read Char.3), a skilled and trusted Collector of great power, is forced to break the Collectors code which states:  "No Collector is to interfere with Human life so long as it exists.  Humans are never to coexist with Collectors meaning there should never be an occurence were humans are in direct contact with Collectors during their lifetime given any circumstance.  At human death, and human death only, shall they walk amongst Etherland, to relieve the soul from the deceased, incognito, and direct it to Netherland.  Denial of such actions is both an insult and a direct accusation of war.  The Creators shall not tolerate inconsistency to follow this rule, nor will they make exceptions."   Forced to break this rule, Collectors must take the initiative to fix the cylce, whilst at the same time avoiding the Creators' eyes.  In doing so, only one Collector, Aze Susanoo, is forced to break the code for the sake of human exisitence.  What will the Creators do when they find that the Golden rule has been broken?   This is just the beginning of Kumon's dark deeds, for his hands, still stained with dark blood, now thirst for more.  Iru Migara, the fugitive of the Death-Cycle, and Kumon the Destroyer of the Life-Cycle.  What will happen if Kumon is able to deny both?

Author's Comments

Did some minor changes at the end to help better explain. Also I changed the preview picture cuz I wanted to find the closest thing to Kumon as possilbe. That picture is fairly close, cuz Kumon has no color in his eyes and has a Human theme about him but its vague. Kumon's hair from my vision however is blood red, and he has veins about his face, but hopefully this pic generated the same creepy effect. Kumon is most defiently the unique villan and is one to reckoned with. Hope people like him!

much better. I can understand this alot better now, and those finer points i saw in your earlier draft have come into focus. the concept of Kumon is very creative, although the whole balance between life and death thing has some trace amounts of bleach in it, its still very good. I understand your story better now and I look forward to the next segment.

I always type as I go along. Only a starte sentence and an ending scene. As long as I can build up to it, it's fine.

In the beginning the word effect is used incorrectly. The word you had to use was affect. Effect is....(i suck at defining so ill use a sentensce >_<;) 'The effects of the major BLEVI had been devastating.' The blevi caused the thing to happen (whatever it was...>_>;)
Affect is the influence of something. 'Even though they were mere words, their meaning affected him greatly.' It did something to influence his later actions (whatever they were...^^; )But other than that this is incredible! Wanna see more :eager:
